Teach for Mongolia’s annual Winter Meeting 2026 was successfully held from January 14-16. As part of the Fellowship Program, teachers currently working in local communities gathered in Ulaanbaatar to exchange experiences, learn together, and strengthen their professional community.
The main purpose of the Winter Gathering is to support teachers’ professional development, foster discussions grounded in real classroom experiences, and reinforce the strong community built through the program. Throughout the event, teachers openly shared the challenges they face in their classrooms and the practical solutions they have implemented, creating a meaningful space for peer learning and mutual support.
This year’s gathering was further enriched by the participation of alumni from previous cohorts, who shared their personal journeys and key lessons learned. Their presence created a valuable opportunity to connect teachers across different cohorts and generations of the program.

The Winter Meeting was organized with the support of Unitel Group. Ms G.Bolor-Erdene, Sustainability Manager at Unitel Group, joined the event as a guest speaker and delivered an inspiring talk to the participating teachers. In addition, Ms G.Uyanga, Teacher Development Specialist from See Learning, facilitated a training session and Mr O.Baljinnyam, a 2025 Teach for Mongolia alumnus, shared his real-life experiences and reflections, offering motivation and encouragement to the participants.
The Winter Meeting concluded as a meaningful and inspiring event, reminding teachers that they are not working in isolation but are part of a strong, supportive community that grows and learns together.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the team of Etugen Student Hub at Etugen University for their valuable support in hosting the Winter Gathering.
