Strengthening Teacher Capacity in Khanbogd Soum: Program Successfully Concluded

Teach for Mongolia, in collaboration with the “Oyu Tolgoi Catalyst Fund for Khanbogd Development” NGO, successfully conducted a training under its Advisory Support Service implemented from 2024 to 2026 in Khanbogd soum, Umnugovi Province, aimed at improving equitable access to education. The final training sessions were held on March 16–17, 2026.

The training involved teachers from School No. 1 and School No. 2 of Khanbogd soum and was organised around three main themes:

• “Enhancing teachers’ digital competencies through artificial intelligence”

• “Theory of Change” methodological framework

• “Empathy” skills development

During the training, teachers explored modern teaching methodologies, AI-supported lesson planning, and student-centred learning approaches, while also applying and testing these concepts in practice.

With this, the long-term Advisory Support Service has successfully concluded, marking a meaningful contribution to improving the quality of education in the local area and strengthening teachers’ professional capacity.
