Teach For Mongolia upholds the longstanding tradition of organizing the biannual “Success Story” experience-sharing meeting. The primary objective of this convening is to reinforce collaborative learning by providing a platform for teachers to present their accomplishments, progress, challenges encountered, and the strategies employed to address them. Through this professional exchange, the event seeks to support the continuous growth and capacity development of every participating teacher.

The significance of this meeting lies in fostering peer learning among Teach For Mongolia fellows and enabling the transfer of best practices into their local contexts and daily school operations. The meeting is designed to encourage both the professional and personal development of teachers, cultivate purposeful and impactful leadership, enhance the quality of instruction, and create opportunities to meaningfully assess and understand the impact on students.

During the session, teachers presented the innovative approaches they implemented based on the specific needs and circumstances of their schools, shared concrete examples of student progress, and highlighted initiatives that successfully engaged the wider community. These open and constructive discussions greatly enriched the value of the meeting. In addition, several teachers showcased exemplary practices related to curriculum enhancement, creating positive learning environments, and introducing effective classroom management solutions, serving as role models for their peers.

Highlighted Best Practices

E.Oksana - “Classroom Collaborative Goal-Setting” Approach (2024–2026 Program Cohort)

Teacher E.Oksana has successfully implemented an innovative classroom management approach that fosters strong collaboration among students, teachers, and parents.

In the fall, all students set their individual goals for the academic year, which are then reviewed and assessed in the spring. The results of this reflection are shared with parents and guardians, who are encouraged to write letters of appreciation to their children based on their progress and development.

This method not only strengthens students’ motivation and self-confidence but also deepens the partnership between families, schools, and teachers, making it a particularly noteworthy and impactful practice.

N.Tselmeg - Initiative to Create Books for Children with Developmental Differences (2025–2027 Program Cohort)

Teacher N.Tselmeg is actively working on a project to develop educational and movement skill books for children with developmental differences, in collaboration with 10th-grade students.

The project involves conducting research to identify the specific needs of these children and designing books that include engaging, age-appropriate content to support the development of motor skills. A diverse range of practical and stimulating materials is being created to enhance learning and skill acquisition.

Currently, N.Tselmeg is in discussions with fellow teachers and relevant stakeholders to secure funding and move forward with project implementation.

This initiative is a notable and creative practice as it not only encourages student participation and creativity but also provides accessible and valuable resources for children with developmental differences, addressing a critical need in education.
