As part of the “Catalyst Student” 2026 project initiated and implemented by Teach for Mongolia, a delegation consisting of two students and one teacher from Mongolia successfully participated in the Kids Education Revolution (KER) International Conference, held in Mumbai, India, from February 4 to 10, 2026. The conference aims to empower children and young people as key drivers of educational change and to share their ideas and solutions with the global community.

The international event brought together representatives from seven countries within the Teach For All global network, which promotes youth leadership and participation in education. A total of 100 students and 50 teachers attended the conference, where they presented projects creating positive social change in their schools and communities and exchanged experiences with one another. Participants also engaged in collaborative activities such as discussions and workshops on sustainable development, climate change, civic engagement, and leadership.

Representing Mongolia, P. Enkhmaa, an English teacher at Mandal Secondary School in Saikhan-Ovoo soum, Dundgovi province, and a 2025–2027 Teach for Mongolia Fellowship participant, attended the conference as the lead teacher of the “Catalyst Student” 2026 project. She presented student-led initiatives to international participants and shared her experience in teacher leadership.

Two student representatives who have been actively leading social initiatives in their local communities through the project also participated in the conference:

  • G.Naransolongo, a student from the “IDEA2IMPACT” team at School No.2 in Tsogttsetsii soum, Umnugovi province

  • G.Dondogdulam, a student from the “Green Bees” team at Berkh International School in Batnorov soum, Khentii province

Both students presented the ideas and outcomes of their projects and exchanged experiences with peers from other countries.

The KER International Conference provided students with a valuable opportunity to learn from peers around the world, collaborate on solutions, and amplify their voices on an international stage. After returning home, the participating students plan to share their experiences with fellow students in their communities and further expand their project activities.

The “Catalyst Student” project supports students in identifying issues within their communities and implementing practical solutions, while fostering them to become active and responsible leaders of the future.
