From June 23 to July 31, 2025, Teach For Mongolia successfully conducted its five-week
Summer Institute for the newest cohort of “ilgeeltin Bagsh” (Fellowship Program). The program
provided both educators and professionals from non-teaching backgrounds with intensive
training, practical workshops, and a collaborative learning environment, equipping them to
become impactful and values-driven teacher-leaders in local schools.
The program was structured around eight core modules covering a wide range of topics,
including child psychology, innovative teaching methodologies, classroom management, the
integration of technology and artificial intelligence in lessons, micro-teaching practice, student
assessment strategies, teacher leadership, ethics, and core values. Training sessions were held both at
The Teacher and Student Development Center of the National University of Mongolia, and at a
retreat site in Terelj, offering participants a balanced experience of theoretical learning and
hands-on practice.

One of the program’s highlights was the visit of representatives from Teach For Malaysia, who
shared international experiences and best practices in teaching. Additionally, Teach For
Mongolia alumni actively participated throughout the program, providing guidance and support
to the new teachers, offering feedback on student-centered teaching methods, and helping to
create a collaborative environment for mutual growth.
The new teachers studied team collaboration and practical methods, regularly presenting their
results and receiving feedback from graduates and program instructors to continuously
improve their work.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the instructors E. Nyamtoch and Kh. Sugaraa for leading the
classes during the Summer Institute, the Teach For Mongolia team, and alumni for their ongoing
support, the Teacher Development Center of the National University of Mongolia, for generously
providing the classrooms, and Tomujin Alternative School for their valuable help during the
micro-teaching sessions.

The program concluded with a graduation event where participants shared reflections on their
personal growth and the knowledge they gained throughout the training. Teach For Mongolia’s
2025 Summer Institute wrapped up successfully, offering an extensive curriculum that went
beyond teaching techniques to include innovative practices and leadership development aimed
at driving positive change in rural areas.
Wishing the new cohort of teachers all the best for the 2025–2026 academic year!
