On June 27, 2025, Teach For Mongolia held its second Alumni Induction Ceremony, celebrating the completion of the two-year Fellowship journey for Cohort 2 in Ulaanbaatar.

The Teach For Mongolia Fellowship is a two-year leadership development program that places passionate individuals, including certified teachers and career-changers, in high-need classrooms throughout rural Mongolia. During their time in the program, Fellows work to expand educational opportunities while growing as leaders dedicated to long-term social change.
This year, six Fellows from Cohort 2 completed the program and officially joined the alumni community. Over the past two academic years, from 2023 to 2025, they taught in rural schools across Zavkhan, Selenge, and Umnugovi provinces. They served as homeroom teachers, subject teachers, and even school leaders covering history and social studies, mathematics, english, geography, and design & technology.
The 2023–2025 fellows include:
O. Baljinnym, Geography Teacher and Curriculum Coordinator, Khanbogd soum Secondary School No.2, Umnugovi
U. Uyanga, Mathematics Teacher, Khanbogd soum Secondary School No.1, Umnugovi
Kh. Sugaraa, English Teacher, Tsogttsetsii soum Secondary School No.2, Umnugovi
S. Munkhbaatar, History and Social Studies Teacher, Tosontsengel soum Secondary School No.1, Zavkhan
B. Ariuntsetseg, History and Social Studies Teacher, Khanbogd soum Secondary School No.1, Umnugovi
B. Tsetsegbal, Design and Technology Teacher, Shaamar soum Secondary School, Selenge

The graduation ceremony opened with remarks by Board Chair D. Nomin, and concluded with a heartfelt message from Teach For Mongolia’s Founder and CEO G. Gantushig, who expressed gratitude for the fellows' dedication and their contribution to the future of education in Mongolia.
Out of the 14 public schools across 13 rural soums in 8 provinces that partner with our program, B. Ganjargal, Principal of Tsogttsetsii Secondary School No.2 in Umnugovi, gave a speech highlighting the importance of sustainable collaboration in education.
As part of our international collaboration, Kevin, the Monitoring and Evaluation Manager at Teach For Malaysia, also joined the ceremony and delivered an inspiring message to the graduates on behalf of the global Teach For All network.

Each graduate this year shared heartfelt reflections on the challenges, lessons, and achievements they experienced over the past two years. On top of that, it was an inspiring moment as previous alumni shared their experiences, and newly joining Fellows spoke about their thoughts and hopes as they began their journey.
One of the most memorable moments was when sincere messages from students were shared with the teachers through a video recording. The ceremony also took time to highlight and express gratitude to key partner organization whose ongoing support plays a vital role in the success of this celebration.
During the 2023–2025 academic years, the program’s Fellows taught over 1,200 students, contributing significantly to expanding access to education and supporting their holistic development.

These six young professionals join previous graduates and continue their careers either in education or other fields. They carry with them a strong desire to serve their communities and a determination to bring positive change to society. They are not only teachers today but also future leaders.
