From December 15 to 19, Teach For Mongolia conducted a study visit to Teach For Malaysia. During this visit, we became familiar with the organization and implementation of Teach For Malaysia’s Pre-Service Program (PSP), which is carried out by a total of 18 members, including the core PSP team and the Operations team. An important feature of the program is that Teach For Malaysia alumni actively participate in every training session, sharing their practical experiences and lessons learned.

As part of the study visit, we also visited ARUS School, which was established by Teach For Malaysia alumni. This school serves children of undocumented residents who are unable to attend public schools due to the lack of official documents and cannot afford the high tuition fees of private schools. The school provides these children with equal access to education, which makes it particularly notable.

From these experiences, it is clear that Teach For Malaysia’s program organization, alumni engagement, and efforts to ensure equal educational opportunities offer many valuable lessons that Teach For Mongolia can learn from and adapt in its own context.
