Strengthening Khanbogd Schools Through the “Teach for Mongolia” Program

Since 2024, Teach For Mongolia’s “Teach for Mongolia” program has been implemented in Khanbogd district, Umnugovi province, to improve the quality and accessibility of education. The program is carried out in collaboration with the  Oyu Tolgoi Catalyst Fund and the Khanbogd Soum Governor’s Office. As part of the program, on August 12, participating teachers met with representatives from the Oyu Tolgoi Catalyst Fund to discuss ongoing collaboration and future initiatives.

In the 2024–2025 academic year, four teachers were assigned to schools in Khanbogd, and in the 2025–2026 academic year, five additional teachers will join, working at Khanbogd’s First and Second Schools. The Oyu Tolgoi Catalyst Fund plays a key role in financing the program and supporting teachers’ training and professional development. This initiative represents a significant investment in strengthening education in the Khanbogd Soum.
