On December 5, 2025, the closing ceremony of the 9-month-long “Rural School Leadership Program” was successfully held in Ulaanbaatar. A total of 27 school leaders from 9 schools across 6 provinces, which are our program partners, participated in the event. During the ceremony, each school representative presented the initiatives they had implemented over the course of the program, sharing the best practices and outcomes achieved by applying the knowledge and skills gained.

During the closing event, participants highlighted the concrete actions they had taken during the program and explained how these initiatives had influenced the management and operations of their schools. This provided a valuable opportunity for other participants to learn from their experiences. For instance, schools showcased how they had successfully implemented new approaches to school management, enhanced the capacities of teachers and staff, and introduced innovative initiatives to strengthen team performance.

The program was funded by the Australian Embassy in Mongolia, and the closing ceremony was honored by the presence of Ms. Anh Nguyen, First Secretary and Consul of the Australian Embassy in Mongolia, who addressed the participants, emphasizing the program’s impact and significance. In addition, T.Uuganbayar, a Board Member of the Teach for Mongolia NGO, attended the event to recognize the achievements of the participants and discuss opportunities for future collaboration and the development of the education sector.

The closing ceremony was not only an opportunity to showcase the work completed over the past nine months but also served as a platform for building partnerships, exchanging experiences, and further strengthening the capacity of local education leaders. Through the program, participants were able to:

  • Master and apply new approaches to school management in practice

  • Share experiences to improve collaboration among teachers and staff

  • Introduce new initiatives that brought tangible improvements to school operations

Thus, the successful closing of the 9-month program demonstrated how participants have applied the knowledge and skills gained in practice, contributing significantly to improving the quality of education at the local level.
