Kh.Sugaraa 2023 Enrollment

I have a bachelor's and master's degree in business management from abroad and have previous work experience. Since joining the Teach for Mongolia program and starting my work as a teacher, I have gained a deep appreciation for the value of the teaching profession. Teaching is a job that comes from the heart, where you wake up early to prepare, teach during the day, and then spend the evening reviewing, improving, and preparing for the next day.

O.Ankhbayar 2022 Enrollment

I used to dream of becoming a football player like Ronaldo when I was younger. When I come to the soum to teach, I sometimes play basketball with the elementary school kids, and I usually score more than 8 out of 12 goals. Here, I’ve probably become the 'Ronaldo' and am living my dream (Laughs).

O.Baljinnyam 2023 Enrollment

I have experience teaching in both public and private schools in Ulaanbaatar. Intending to identify the differences between rural areas, the city centre, and the outskirts of the city, I joined this program and began my two-year journey. I realized that the foundation for learning is laid when you start by explaining the “Why”. I thought that in my very first lesson, it was essential to first explain why this lesson and topic are being taught by the teacher and why students should learn it.

G.Khuslen 2024 Enrollment

I am transitioning to the teaching profession and teaching in my first year. The phrase "When one teaches, two learn" reflects how this journey is helping me better understand myself, grow, and develop.

E.Zolzaya 2022 Enrollment

I have worked in both the centre of the city and the province. In my opinion, being able to stay in a dormitory at the soum school allows me to reach out to the children more and work closely with them. Also, since the soum is relatively small, it provides the advantage of getting to know the child's parents and family situation, which allows for better collaboration.

O.Ganchimeg 2022 Enrollment

When I first came to Khalkhgol Soum in the eastern region of Mongolia, not to rest or work, but to live, I went into the local store, bought an ice cream, and walked back to the dormitory. The view of the soum during that moment has remained deeply etched in my mind.
